Sixteen–year-old Cheyenne Wilder is sleeping in the back of a car while her mom fills her prescription for antibiotics. Before Cheyenne realizes what’s happening, their car is being stolen. Griffin hadn’t meant to kidnap Cheyenne, but once his dad finds out that Cheyenne’s father is the president of a powerful corporation, everything changes—now there’s a reason to keep her. How will Cheyenne survive this nightmare? Because she’s not only sick with pneumonia—she’s also blind.

I'd never heard of April Henry before this book. In fact, the only reason I saw this book was because Amazon recommended it for me and I'm so glad they did. I picked it up one summer morning and didn't put it down until I was done. I'm not usually one for suspenseful, mystery stories but this book really took my breathe away. It was captivating from the first sentence and didn't lose its glow until I had turned the last page. It was such an interesting take on the old story of girl gets kidnapped and held for ransom because her dad is rich. It really had me thinking, what would it be like if I was blind?! This book has stuck with me since I've read it. I haven't been able to shake it from me. I always find myself thinking about it. It left a huge impact on me.

Hi guys! My name is Natalie and I'm addicted to books. I've realized after talking to friends that the joy of reading is slowing being lost. Less and less people like to read which breaks my heart. To fix my bleeding organ I've decided to spread my love to others. I hope you enjoy! I'll be mostly posting YA books but I might also throw in a few fiction books I read in my Lit class.
